Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo said that until Tuesday July 18, there was no information on when FIFA would visit Indonesia. Therefore PSSI submitted a formal letter to FIFA for the world’s governing body to immediately review and determine the stadium that will be used.

FIFA in June appointed Indonesia as the host for the 2023 U-17 World Cup as a substitute for Peru, but nearly one month has passed with no clear date on FIFA’s inspection.

Thus far, PSSI has prepared eight stadiums for the U-17 matches. Later, the eight stadiums will be inspected by FIFA which will then determine the stadium of choice and create a record of required improvements.
