
President Joko Widodo officially inaugurated the operation of Cisumdawu toll road in Sumedang Regency, West Java Province, on Wednesday (12/07). Cisumdawu stands for Cileunyi, Sumedang, and Dawuan.

President Joko Widodo said that the Cisumdawu toll road connects the city of Bandung via the Cipularang and Cipali toll roads. It took 12 years to complete the construction of the 61.6 kilometer long toll road. The construction started in 2011 at a total cost of around 18.3 trillion rupiah or 1.2 billion us dollar the toll line will connect Bandung to Cipali. The government had allocated around 9.07 trillion rupiah in fund while the private investors made up the rest of the cost.
“The construction of the 61.6-kilometer Cisumdawu toll road spent IDR18.3 trillion budget. IDR9.07 tirllion provided by the government and the rest is from Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) scheme. This toll road is expected to facilitate easier access to Kertajati Airport’’, President R.I Joko Widodo said.
President Joko Widodo also introduced a 472 meter long twin tunnels that is part of the toll road the paved road will help improve connection and access to Kertajati Airport, in Majalengka regency.
