(Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto receives a wing brevet, from the Indonesian air force on March 08)
Jakarta, TVRI World - Indonesian Military Commander Air Admiral Yudo Margono witnessed the attachment of the wing brevet upon Prabowo’s chest. By Indonesian Air Force chief of staff, Air Chief Marshall Fadjar Prasetyo in a ceremony recently. The honorary brevet made Prabowo an honorary member of air force jet fighter’s pilot. Prabowo considers the award as a realization of his childhood dream, of becoming a pilot.
The ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, in Jakarta. Before the event, Prabowo flew on the back seat of a F-16 jet fighter for half an hour.
Based on his flying experience with the jet fighter, Prabowo admits that it is not an easy task for pilots. He says it is because jet fighter pilots should take a quick decision, when flying such a super-fast aircraft.
Prabowo extends his appreciation to all forces in the Indonesian Military, and calls for all Indonesians to support the soldiers, who protect the country’s sovereignty.
